Introduction
Learn how to install car seat covers so that your vehicle’s seats are protected from any type of damage or spillage that can occur. It is an easy process that should take only about thirty minutes of your day.
Section 1: Front Seat Covers
- Take off headrests from the seats. Some are able to be pulled out, while others will have a release button you can push in order to take them out.
- *If you have armrests, you can also remove them by pulling on them, or, you might have to undo the screw/bolt located inside of the seat. After you are done installing the seat cover, you can place the armrest back in.*
- Align the bucket cover over the seat and slide down gently. Make sure that all the designs align correctly with the seat.
- If your cover has a tag for airbag, please ensure it is on the same side that your airbag is located in.
- Once the backrest has been properly aligned, find the straps located at the center of the cover and slide them through the crevice where the backrest and bottom of the seat meet.
- Bring the straps to the front from underneath the seat, and connect them to the buckles at the front bottom to tighten and secure.
- Adjust the base part to the bottom of the seat and secure by tucking in the mesh material into the bottom of the seat using a flat item such as a card, OR, connect the elastic loops underneath the seat with the provided clips.
- Reinsert the headrests on the seat.
- Peel off the cloth attached to the hook and loop at the top of the cover, and seal it
- Slip the headrest covers on to the headrests and tighten the elastic straps inside for a secure fit.
- *If there is no hook and loop at the top of the backrest cover, make two small cuts on the material where the headrests go in order to place them back in*
Section 2: Rear Backrest Cover
- Remove the headrests in a similar procedure as the front ones.
- Find the piece of your set that is labeled “Bench Backrest” on the tag at the bottom.
- Pull out any seat belts so that the cover does not go over them.
- Fit the cover on the backrest. If it’s a split bench, the zippers should open from bottom to top.
- Push bottom straps through the seat crevice where the backrest and bottom meet.
- *If your seat is able to be removed or lifted, it will make installation easier*
- Buckle the straps from the backside for a secure fit.
- Tuck in the mesh material of the cover on the side of the seat, OR connect the loops on the side together with the provided clips.
Section 3: Bottom Bench Cover
- Find the piece with the tag “Bench Bottom”
- *If your seat is able to be removed or lifted, it will make installation easier*
- Place the cover over the bottom. If it has zippers, they should open from top to bottom.
- Fasten the straps on the bottom of the seat for a secure fit.
- Tuck in the mesh cloth underneath the seat, OR fasten the loops on the sides together using the provided clips for a snug fit.
- All of the straps and loops should be hidden underneath the seat.
*If you are unable to remove/lift up the seat, you can tuck in the material into the seat’s crevices as best as possible using a flat item such as a card*
Section 4: Headrest Adjustment
*DO NOT make any cuts until you are completely sure everything is aligned properly and is suited on your seats to your satisfaction*
- Once the backrest is installed, make two small cuts on the material where the headrests need to go back in.
- Place the headrests back into the seats and slip the headrest covers on.
- Fasten the straps in the headrest cover for a secure fit.
Section 5: Seatbelt Adjustment
*DO NOT make any cuts until you are completely sure everything is aligned properly and is suited on your seats to your satisfaction*
- Make sure the seatbelts are on top of the covers and not under them.
- Make small slits on the material that match the location of your seatbelts and seatbelt buckles for easy access.
Section 6: Split Bench (Optional)
- Depending on the location of the split, find the corresponding zipper and unzip it. This will allow you to fold the seat up and down.
- Using the provided mesh cloths, you can seal the exposed side.
- The middle zippers also provide access to the middle cup holder. Unzip when in use, and zip back up when done.
- If the back covers are initially too wide, remove one of the zippered pieces; if they are not wide enough, you can request an extension piece.

Not the easiest to install. Why not post a video? Let’s see how the hold up after a month.
Hi Benny,
search fh group seat covers installation in youtube, you will find some video installation from us.
You will need to remove your seats period!!!;
I have a Kia Optima 2010 and they fit very nice. Yes they are light in weight but they look nice and if they last a year or a bit more I am fine with that. But to think this is going to be an easy job think again. You we absolutely have to remove your front seats. You will need a 14mm socket and at least 3/8 drive ratchet and 2″ extension. Then you will need to unplug 4 electric connections on passenger and 3 for driver not super hard take your time to figure out how they are attached. They will come off without a screwdriver or a hammer don’t force them. Remember you have to put the seat back in so these need to work. You will also need the gently remove just the top plastic that holds the seat controls to the side of the seat to get the straps through. The back is no horrible to install. I also removed the seat bottoms so much easier. I would say do the back then reinstall the front seats. Also this will give you the opportunity to seriously vacuum your floor.
I will see how long they will hold up.
